Thats because the game isn't about getting to level 20.

You get skill points to get more skills and to get skills for your secondary, if you want to grind to LEVEL 60 go play WoW, grind to LEVEL 99 go play Diablo LOD, GW is not a grinding game. Level is not skill, just how you play.

You can still develop your character by capping more elites and experimenting with different secondaries, or even aiming for titles ><.

If you want, you can try to get EVERY skill in the game for all profesions with all your characters, but that will take so incredibly long...

Raising the level cap will not benefit the game in any way.

If building up a character was your goal in the game, I might suggest playing World of Warcraft, it is the best game out there right now for that type of gameplay.

Not really. If the players level up to L50, the monsters will be L50 as well, and have more attributes to spend. And in PvP all your foes have the same amount of attribute points, so they are equally tough as if it were at levelcap 20.

All skills would have to be rebalanced, since you could have pretty long enchants and stances at that amount of attribute points..

Of course, if attribute level caps per skill would be lifted.

L20 level cap is good. Having level cap at L50 would make no difference, just increase the grind, which we don't want, do we?

The level cap is good because...
1) It's not too hard to reach, and people saying they get it in a few days should remember that some people are casual players or have school/work during the day and cannot always play.

2) Anet has said it sooooooooooooooooooo many times. They want players to be good because of personal skill, not because they can spend 2 more hours than most people killing trolls.

3) All the skills and attributes are fixed appropriatly and would need seroius fixing (and therefore GW might be down for a long time for Anet to change it) when it was not necessary.

4)

Anet would also have to fix every single monster in the game. Thats a hell of a lot. BTW, if we got to lvl 50, the monsters would be lvl 62 or something.

5) Health would have to be modified so there is less per lvl, or raise the health lvl cap. Raising the health lvl cap would cause things such as sup vigor rune prices to drop dramatically due to 50hp being worth almost nothing.

There. All you people who think the level cap should be raised should read those 5 reasons. They speak for themselves.

Why want more level standard.

Level 20 is ok.

If the levels are increased, and as mentioned above, the monsters would have the same proportion increment.

waste of time if you ask me.

al i said level 20 is ok

Character building happens in your brains. Find out good skill combinations for different situations, train your timing, positioning, reaction speed and awareness. Communicate with your team.

Your character gets better when YOU learn rather than spending huge amount of time for grinding experience.

There is always WoW if you want traditional character building. Reaching level 20 is like completing the tutorial in Guild Wars. Your character is ready but it is up to you, how well you control your character.

Guild wars is about player skill not the fact that some people can afford to bash
monsters a lot longer than others.

GW PvE is way to small for lvl 50 or higher chars.
in fact GW is more for the PvP players.
WoW is a much bigger game so that is why the level can go higher. but the PvP of WoW is crap. that is why GW is in my oppinion the best PvP game. and if you are a PvE player and you got all chars to lvl 20. just go farming. there are enough farming area's in the game. like the elite missions, UW, FOW.
and if you get bored farming or other region has favor, then try to win the favor back. or play GvG.

Yes, when you are lvl 20 you get stronger and stronger monsters to fight. Making this a game of wits and intelligence, instead of uber leet items and level grinding. You will see that you won't get much good items either, unless you like to become a farmer.

With all due respects, and without any prejudice, I do not agree that this game is more for PvP than for PvE.

That PvP spoils the skills for PvE, no doubt about that, look at IWAY etc.

To enter into a discussion about PvP here is really

This is a role playing game and even though there is a very clear division between the hardcore pvp'ers and us the PvE'ers, this game would never have the same success it has if one of these two elements were removed.
